Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring chemotherapy certification and experience with chest tubes in a specialized oncology/surgical unit.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed inpatient unit specializing in Oncology, Thoracic, and Bariatric surgery
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4, may increase to 1:5 depending on acuity
• Rotating holiday and weekend coverage required (every other weekend)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed to Med/Surg/Telemetry units
• Chemotherapy administration and chest tube management performed on this unit

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Prior oncology nursing experience required
• Experience with chest tubes required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

• 13-week travel contract
• Facility is located approximately one hour from both Baltimore and Washington, DC, offering a suburban setting with access to urban amenities
