American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech for a CVOR position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Florida, requiring strong cardiac OR experience and on-call availability.

Details

• CVOR setting within a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Primary focus on cardiovascular OR cases; may scrub other cases when no cardiac cases are scheduled
• Shift hours are 11:00–23:30 (day/evening, 3x12)
• On-call is required with a minimum of approximately 6 call shifts per month, which may increase to up to 10 during periods of low staffing; weekend call shifts are 24-hour shifts
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required, including to sister facilities
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• Free parking is available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred but not required
• Minimum 18 months of surgical tech experience required; 2+ years preferred
• 3+ years of experience strongly preferred
• Strong CVOR and vascular experience required
• Candidates must be nicotine-free; a negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) is required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• A copy of a valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration

• Candidates must be comfortable with cardiac OR setup and ready to take call from the start of the assignment
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized and completed promptly upon confirmation
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

• Travelers at any Cleveland Clinic location are limited to 18 consecutive months, after which a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic facility
