Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit requiring at least 2 years of MS or IMCU experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Stepdown Intermediate Care unit of a hospital setting
• Care for a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac (preferably cardiac drips), post-op (ortho, GU, GYN, gen surg), and general medical patients
• 13-week assignment with night shift hours (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical (MS) or Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be adaptable and able to manage a wide variety of patient conditions

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to a broad range of stepdown/intermediate care patients
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Candidates should begin discussing assignment extension with their manager approximately 45 days prior to end date
