American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract at a Maryland hospital, requiring ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications with a 1:4 patient ratio across all age groups.

Details

• Works in a fast-paced Emergency Department with 47 beds and an average daily census of 130
• Patient population spans all age ranges, from infant to geriatric, with complex and varied diagnoses
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Schedule is 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30), with 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend is required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating within the ED specialty is required
• No pre-scheduled on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (standard or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; candidates with 1 year of strong ER experience may be considered
• Experience in a fast-paced emergency department setting required
