American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and telemetry nursing skills.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital — a Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with over 1,500 staffed beds
• Average patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• No on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Epic
• Parking available at a cost of approximately $125/month
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted, but must be active prior to start date)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• No prior disciplinary actions or issues on nursing license

Additional Information

• Orientation begins virtually on the start Friday, with onsite reporting beginning the following Monday
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Flu vaccination is required — declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• One professional reference is required for consideration
