Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN Circulator for a Level I trauma center position requiring circulate, scrub, and charge experience with on-call availability.

Details

• Work in a Level I trauma, academic teaching hospital with 268 staffed beds
• OR unit with 11 rooms handling high-volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases, plus all other specialties with minimal pediatric cases
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• On-call required: up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 13-week period, with a 30-minute recall requirement
• Blocked scheduling on weekends
• No floating required
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Scrubs are provided for OR RNs
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or a valid, participating compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Experience in circulating, scrubbing, and charge roles required
• Experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomies) required
• Level I trauma center experience required; highly skilled candidates with recent Level II trauma experience at a similarly sized or larger facility may be considered

• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, and charge duties in a high-volume OR
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requires unit manager approval
