American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR for a Level I teaching hospital, requiring transplant experience and strong cardiac/thoracic surgical skills.

Details

• Work in a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) at a Level I academic teaching hospital
• Cardiac and thoracic surgical cases including ECMO, CABG, ascending aortic procedures, LVAD, VATS, lung resection, lobectomy, mitral valve repair, and thoracic robotic surgery using the Da Vinci Xi system
• Transplant cases including kidney and liver
• Tracheostomy procedures required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (10:40–23:10)
• 21-week contract with the potential to extend up to 26 weeks

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of scrub/surgical technologist experience required
• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program required; 2 years of experience in a surgical technologist role may be considered in lieu of program completion
• Transplant (kidney and liver) experience required
• Level I trauma and academic teaching hospital experience required
• Strong proficiency in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures required

Additional Information

• Scrub responsibilities focus heavily on cardiovascular and thoracic procedures in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Robotic surgical experience with the Da Vinci Xi system is highly valued
