Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 1.5–2 years of recent behavioral health experience.

Details

• Behavioral Health unit serving children, adolescent, and adult patient populations
• Candidates must be open to working across all three patient populations (children, adolescents, and adults)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• May be expected to serve as charge nurse on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1.5–2 years of recent Psychiatric/Behavioral Health RN experience required
• Experience with adolescent and child behavioral health populations strongly preferred; candidates without this experience must have at least 2 years of travel nursing experience in addition to the required psych experience
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training will be provided upon start
• Shift supervisors, CNO, and nurse manager are typically on-site and available, with additional support available on-call
• Local candidates are not eligible for this position
