American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CCU (Coronary Care Unit) position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.

Details

• 26-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week travel contract
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Specialized equipment in use includes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia protocols
• Typical procedures include heart catheterizations, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• Unit staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
