American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Antepartum (Special Care) position requiring 2 years of experience, on-call availability, and active FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Antepartum/Special Care unit in a hospital setting
• Common patient diagnoses include preterm labor, PPROM, and pre-eclampsia
• Administers drips and medications including Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin, and Heparin
• EMR: Epic and Perigen
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• On-call required: one 12-hour call shift per schedule
• Floating required; travelers are floated first and may be assigned to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of Antepartum RN experience required
• Accredited nursing degree required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree verification
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; this rule is strictly enforced
• Full DOB, SSN, and RN license number required for consideration
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Nurses begin orientation on a Friday; remote orientation is completed prior to an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID issuance — candidates must be local and available on that Friday
• Royal blue scrubs required; printed scrub tops are permitted
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to submission, as it will not be approved after an offer is made
• Travelers are expected to integrate with the unit and function at the same level as core staff
• Local candidates are accepted provided they meet the 50-mile radius requirement
