American Traveler is seeking a night shift RN for a Med/Surg position at a hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Details

• 28-bed Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Direct patient care nursing role focused on the patient as a whole person
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, treatment implementation, patient and family education, and discharge coordination
• Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity
• Active Unit Practice Council supports shared governance and team involvement
• Delegates tasks appropriately and oversees team members in the delivery of patient care
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• New graduate and first-time traveler applicants are welcome, as no prior nursing experience is required
