American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a hospital inpatient unit, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• 13-week contract with 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends and holidays required
• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit (5F)

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Date of birth (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, treatment implementation, and discharge coordination
• Expected to delegate tasks and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• Provides patient and family education tailored to culture, age, and comprehension level
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams including Case Management
