American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR/Surgery RN for a 13-week travel contract in San Antonio, TX, with a 4x10 day shift schedule and a patient population spanning ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, and robotics cases.

Details

• Hospital surgical unit specializing in general surgery
• Patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, plastics, ENT, and robotic surgery cases
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or a compact state license valid in TX required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of OR/Surgery nursing experience
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include independent nursing practice using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Provides patient and family education, addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Active copies of all certifications must be provided — expired certifications will result in disqualification
