American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of L&D nursing experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within an inpatient hospital setting
• Inpatient obstetric patient population, including labor, delivery, surgical delivery, and newborn care
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Weekend shifts are required
• No holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant L&D nursing experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (all American Heart Association)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring, intrapartum care, medication administration, patient education, and surgical delivery care

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care to inpatient obstetric patients, including fetal monitoring, medication administration, and patient/family education
• Participates in intrapartum care of patient and newborn across labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
• Completes admissions assessments, develops and continuously updates individualized care plans
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the healthcare team
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within this health system
