American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Cares for post-operative CVMS patients including post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holidays covered on a department rotation basis
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provides direct care to post-operative cardiovascular patients including CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery cases
• Responsibilities include hourly rounding, patient assessment, care planning, nursing interventions, and safety reporting
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than one continuous year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
