Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Nurse Navigator position requiring a valid CA RN license and Cerner EMR experience for a 6-month contract on a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within an acute care hospital environment
• Nurse Navigator unit supporting clinic-based patient care
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with some variation based on clinic hours)
• 6-month contract assignment
• No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling permitted

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting required
• At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in the specialty area within the past 2 years required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must pass an EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
• At least one supervisory, director, or manager reference from the past year on the relevant unit required; a second reference within 2 years from a charge nurse, co-worker, or educator is also required

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• No RTO (time off requests) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all RTO must be confirmed and submitted at time of consideration
• Candidates who were previously employed by the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler, and may require facility approval prior to assignment
