American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with day shifts in a welcoming and newly built hospital unit.

Details

• Med/Surg unit located in a newly built hospital building
• Patient population includes medical/surgical and short stay cases
• Telemetry experience is preferred
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Patient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license with TX privilege required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen prior to and upon arrival
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas's wine country and approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
