American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Massachusetts requiring a permanent MA RN license, at least 2 years of ED experience, and flexibility to float between two hospital campuses.

Details

• Hospital Emergency Department setting with a psych holding area within the ED
• Required to float between two campuses (Leominster and Clinton)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Charting is done in Epic
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• No block scheduling can be accommodated — scheduling is based on unit needs
• Shift flexibility required: must be able to start up to 4 hours before or after your scheduled start time based on critical department need
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active, permanent Massachusetts (MA) RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG test
• Two professional references required for consideration, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary history required

Additional Information

• Well-rounded ED nursing experience is preferred, given the varied patient population including a psych holding component
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests in July will not be approved for more than 1–2 days
