American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Infusion position in a Hematology and Oncology outpatient clinic setting, requiring at least 1 year of oncology/infusion experience and Chemo/Bio certification.

Details

• Outpatient Hematology and Oncology clinic setting with 60 infusion chairs
• Adult oncology patient population covering all cancer types
• Average patient census of approximately 125 patients per day
• Patient ratios never exceed 1:4, depending on pod assignment
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; no weekend rotation
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Facility is closed on holidays; no holiday rotation required
• No floating required
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and Chemo/Bio certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an oncology or infusion setting, with most recent experience within the last year
• Proficiency in administration of anti-neoplastic agents, port access, and IV starts
• Working knowledge of chemotherapy and immunotherapy side effects and management
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Administer infusion therapies including chemotherapy and immunotherapy to adult oncology patients
• Multidisciplinary team support includes RNs, LPNs, MAs, MDs, on-site lab, and on-site radiology
• Orientation includes a general facility orientation (NEO) followed by approximately 1 week of unit-specific orientation
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position before being eligible
