American Traveler is seeking an experienced Peri-Op RN for a travel assignment in an Operating Room setting in Socorro, NM, requiring prior travel experience and small PACU/Pre-Op background.

Details

• Operating Room (OR) setting at a general hospital in Socorro, NM
• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), varied days
• 40 hours per week
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
• Epic EMR used on-site; training available for those without prior Epic experience
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• ADN or ASN degree required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Minimum 2 years of current experience in a small PACU with Pre-Op experience required
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
• Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient care needs throughout each shift
• Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
• Assumes clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols
• Addresses patient and family education and discharge planning needs throughout the episode of care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• Former permanent staff of Presbyterian Health Services must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered; at least one prior travel assignment is required
