Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring CO or compact RN licensure, robotic surgery experience, and call availability including weekday and weekend on-call shifts.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (Surgery) setting
• Handles a broad surgical caseload including orthopedics (totals, no spine), ophthalmology, GYN, urology, general surgery (appendectomy, lap chole, bowel, hernia), C-sections, ENT (tonsils), colonoscopy, and EGDs
• Robotic surgery experience required, specifically with the Da Vinci and Mako robotic systems
• Covers preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of care
• Shifts are 10 hours, generally 6:00 AM–4:30 PM or 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Schedule is 4 shifts per week
• Call required one day per week (5:00 PM–6:00 AM) and approximately one weekend per month (24-hour call)

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Operating room nursing experience required, including preop, intraop, and postop care
• Experience with robotic surgery platforms (Da Vinci and Mako) required
• Two supervisory references (Supervisor, Manager, or Director) preferred for consideration
• Completed skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• On-call responsibilities include one weekday call shift per week (5:00 PM–6:00 AM) and approximately one 24-hour weekend call shift per month
