American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma Neuro ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center of Excellence in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.

Details

• 24-bed Trauma Neuro ICU within a Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center for Excellence, and Transplant Center
• Patient population includes critically ill trauma, neuro, and surgical patients — including blunt force and penetrating injuries, ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, aneurysms, brain tumors, seizures, TBIs, spinal cord injuries, and complex surgical cases
• Advanced procedures and monitoring include hemodynamic monitoring, massive transfusion, ICP monitoring, brain tissue oxygenation, ventricular drains, and continuous dialysis
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday and hard-to-fill shift coverage required
• EMR: Sunrise (SCM)

Requirements

• Active IN RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Nursys license verification required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• US Social Security Number and a valid US home address required

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrubs required
• 13-week assignment
• Local candidates are eligible to apply, but a radius rule applies and may affect pay rate depending on distance from the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required
