Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro PCU (Progressive Care Unit) travel assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

• 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a primary focus on medical neurological patients
• Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) provides monitoring surveillance for patients on the unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• Floating required as needed across all system facilities
• Scheduling is done in 6-week periods via self-scheduling through Optilink
• EMR: Epic experience is mandatory
• Specialized procedures include CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing Screen

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior Charge RN experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• 13-week assignment
