American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) night shift position at a small critical access hospital in Perryville, MO, requiring 2+ years of experience and a strong labor background.

Details

• LDRP unit within a 24-bed critical access hospital with a small-town feel
• Unit features 7 total rooms including 2 dedicated labor rooms, averaging 8 deliveries per month
• Staffed with 2 nurses per shift
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12 schedule)
• EMR: Epic
• Floating required within scope as needed; travelers are not expected to take patients on medical units
• Weekend hours are minimal, primarily to cover core staff PTO
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D/obstetrics experience required
• Strong labor background required; L&D specialty experience preferred
• Fetal monitoring experience preferred
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must be independent and confident in their skills, and comfortable working in a small clinical setting
• Facility scrubs are provided
• Flu vaccination is required for all travelers working between November 1 and April 1; exemptions must be client-approved
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a 1-year separation or reassignment outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment will be accepted unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided
• This is a 13-week contract
