Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 2 Trauma and Stroke Center, requiring TNCC and a minimum of 1 year of ED experience on 12-hour night shifts.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed Emergency Department with 27 medical beds and 3 ED Psych beds
• Level 2 Trauma Center and Level 2 Stroke Center with Chest Pain accreditation
• Full treatment center for Sexual Assault Survivors on-site
• Averages 120 patients per day, ranging from 100–140
• Staffing is based on ADC (Average Daily Census) with various shift ranges
• POD nursing model used for patient assignments
• 12-hour night shifts
• Epic EMR is used in this position

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of ED RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all AHA), TNCC (or TNS), and NIHSS
• BSN is not required

• Provide emergency nursing care across a high-volume, acute care ED environment including trauma, stroke, chest pain, psych, and sexual assault cases
• 13-week contract assignment
