American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a Magnet, teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of ICU or high-acuity PACU experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Details

• PACU unit within a 637-bed Magnet, academic teaching hospital
• High-acuity patient population ages 12 and up in a fast-paced environment, including both outpatient and inpatient post-procedure and post-sedation cases
• Unit performs procedures such as TEE, cardioversion, epidural block placement, and lumbar injections
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts starting at 5:30 AM
• Every other Saturday required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
• Charting via Epic (experience preferred but not required)
• Local candidates accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current ACLS and BLS required; CCRN and CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, OR 2+ years of experience in a high-acuity PACU at a university-level care facility
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
• 2 references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong relevant experience will be considered
• Scrubs are provided for OR personnel; any scrub color is acceptable
• RTO is not permitted during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum, with a maximum of 1 week per contract
• Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• Daily parking cost is approximately $10.26
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
