Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a busy adult surgical Med/Surg unit with a focus on orthopedic and trauma patients, requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and telemetry skills.

Details

• 36-bed adult surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes orthopedic and trauma patients, with additional specialties such as plastics and general surgery
• Focus on patient mobilization and rehabilitation post-surgery
• Requires experience with telemetry monitoring
• Day/night rotation schedule at 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma setting
• Experience with chest tubes, trachs, and laryngectomies
• Experience managing drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
• Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
• Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws experience required
• Experience managing complex wounds
• Two manager references required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
