Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Chronic Dialysis position at an outpatient kidney center in Washington State, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and prior dialysis experience.

Details

• Chronic, in-center dialysis setting covering multiple peninsula clinic locations (Poulsbo, Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Port Townsend)
• Dialysis patient population requiring chronic in-center treatment and ongoing care management
• Shifts are 10–13 hours in length, with both AM and PM shifts available based on staffing needs
• Schedule may include any day Monday through Saturday
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WA State RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous dialysis experience required
• Prior acute or ambulatory nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work across multiple clinic locations on the peninsula as needed

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include overseeing dialysis delivery, administering medications, adjusting treatment plans per standing orders, and monitoring patient outcomes
• Provides patient education and collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists
• Supervises Dialysis Technicians as part of daily clinical duties
• Participates in quality improvement projects
