American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) position in California, requiring a current CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Details

• 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) in an acute hospital setting
• Medium to high acuity patient population including cardiac, pre/post-operative surgical, CHF, AMI, arrhythmia, pacemaker, and carotid endarterectomy cases
• Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatric
• Patient-to-nurse ratio not to exceed 1:4
• 12-hour day shifts with a 0700 start time
• Floating to other units, including Med/Surg, required as needed
• Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

• Active California RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing assignments successfully completed required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to stable but high-acuity cardiovascular patients with potential for rapid deterioration and complex co-morbidities
• Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative surgical care as well as medical management of cardiovascular conditions
• Must be a W-2 employee of their agency — 1099 or independent contractor arrangements are not accepted
