American Traveler is seeking a licensed RN for a Behavioral Health position requiring a permanent MA RN license, BLS certification, and the flexibility to float across multiple community locations within a 35-mile radius.

Details

• Behavioral Health / Psychiatric unit in a community health setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Must be available to work weekends as needed
• Floating required to all community health locations within a 35-mile radius
• Assignment location is provided with advance notice each day
• Nursing assessments may be conducted in community settings, including schools and homes

Requirements

• Active, permanent MA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Must be willing and able to travel to all clinic locations within a 38-mile radius
• Must reside at least 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• 2 professional references required for consideration, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary history

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing the Medication Refill Line, communicating with clients about medications, and coordinating prior authorizations with insurance companies
• Conducts nursing assessments screening for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and tuberculosis
• Identifies medical, emotional, and social problems and coordinates appropriate referrals, including to primary care providers
• Contributes to individualized treatment plan development in collaboration with clients, families, and care team members
• Facilitates wellness education groups covering topics such as smoking cessation, nutrition, physical activity, and stress management
• Documents all assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up data in the EMR system daily
• EKG test required (pass/fail)
• Flexibility with scheduling is essential, as hours and work locations may vary
• Candidates with requested time off (RTO) during the contract period are less preferred
