American Traveler is seeking a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist with 1+ year of sleep lab experience and RPSGT or RST certification for a travel assignment in a hospital-based sleep lab.

Details

• Hospital-based sleep lab setting
• Rotating 4x10-hour night shifts with rotating weekend coverage
• No major holiday shifts required
• Patient population includes all age groups seen in the sleep lab
• Performs in-center and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), diagnostic polysomnography, MSLT, and MWT
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of sleep lab experience required
• Associate's degree in Polysomnographic Technology or completion of a certificate program in Polysomnographic Technology
• RPSGT (BRPT) or RST (ABSM) certification required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• License required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Scores sleep/wake stages and clinical events including respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, and arousals per professionally accepted guidelines
• Performs PAP interface fitting, desensitization, and patient education
• Conducts ancillary testing including oximetry, actigraphy, and home sleep apnea testing
• Performs equipment and physiologic calibrations to ensure quality, artifact-free data
• Generates accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data
• Follows MSLT and MWT procedural protocols
• Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 continuous year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
