Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience in a cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgery ICU setting.

Details

• Work in the CV Thoracic Transplant ICU, a cardiac ICU caring for both cardiac medical ICU patients and cardiac/thoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients
• Patient ratios of 2:1, including patients with devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience required
• NxStage experience preferred
• Competent to care for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients, including those on advanced cardiac support devices
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply affecting pay rate
• Travelers should begin discussing extension with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
