Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital, requiring EP/Cath experience, AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Cath Lab unit within a 304-bed acute care hospital
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio
• On-call is required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one weekday call shift per week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• Charting performed in Epic
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for the Cath Lab

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP RN experience required
• EP and Cath Lab procedural experience required
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the candidate/agency prior to start
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position, depending on experience
• Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to apply as a traveler
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; approval is based on facility needs
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
• Complimentary parking is available via a parking pass distributed at badge pickup; note that parking garage clearance is limited to average-sized SUVs and trucks
