American Traveler is seeking an IV-certified LPN/LVN with Level I Trauma and large hospital experience for a 13-week Medical-Surgical travel assignment at a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level I Trauma Center
• Medical-Surgical unit
• Team nursing model with a patient ratio of approximately 1:12, supported by PCCs, RNs, a charge nurse, and a medication nurse
• Day shift available; shift assignment may be adjusted based on manager needs at time of interview
• Flexible scheduling options of 36- or 48-hour weeks available; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• On-call and weekend shifts required as needed
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Current LPN/LVN license required — license required if applicable
• ADN or higher required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical experience required; 3+ years preferred
• IV certification is a firm requirement
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one completed prior travel nursing assignment required; first-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
• Active NLC-compliant license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• If two or three of the year-end holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least one or two of them, respectively
• Floating between like units and nearby campuses (within 20 miles) is possible but rare
• Vaccination status must be included with candidate profile
• Any certifications expiring during the assignment should have a documented renewal plan
