American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a 22-bed ED requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Details

• 22-bed Emergency Department with 3 dedicated behavioral health beds, 2 trauma rooms, and 17 standard ED beds
• Staffed with RNs and Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (4-room assignment per nurse)
• Floating charge nurse model in place
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, and implementing nursing interventions aligned with physician plans of care
• Expected to perform hourly rounding using service excellence standards
• May be assigned charge nurse duties; charge nurses are expected to hold an advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to the patient population
• Contributes to department performance through precepting of novice staff and participation in Evidence-Based Practice initiatives
