American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and the ability to take mandatory call weekends.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Shift lengths are flexible at 8, 10, or 12 hours, with day shifts as the primary schedule
• Mandatory call required for 2 full weekends per month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• On-call responsibilities also required on weeknights as needed
• Holiday call coverage required as needed
• Must be willing to float to the main OR as needed
• Charting system is Allscripts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience required
• Must be able to perform as a 2nd scrub
• BSN not required
• Copy of an unexpired driver's license required for consideration
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a minimum 2-year break before being eligible to apply
• Travelers may not work within the WVU Medicine system for longer than one cumulative year without taking a 2-year break
