American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center in Everett, WA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including TNCC.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) at a Level II Trauma Center with an average daily census of 220 visits per day
• High-acuity patient population including stroke, STEMI, trauma, critically ill, and behavioral health cases ranging from low to high acuity
• Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 11:00–23:30
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Experience in a high-acuity emergency department setting required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have at least 2 years of relevant experience
• This is a very busy department; candidates must be comfortable in a high-acuity, high-volume environment
• The facility is known for treating travelers well and encouraging contract extensions
• Facility-paid parking is available
• Scrubs may be any color except reddish-orange
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
