Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience and at least one completed prior travel assignment.

Details

• Short-term acute care setting within a large hospital and Level I Trauma Center
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a team nursing model; patient ratios are approximately 1:7 with support from PCCs and other RNs
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Weekend rotation required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles; cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee (TN) or a valid Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
• ADN degree or higher required for this position
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests will not be accepted after an offer has been extended
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
• Vaccination status must be provided
