American Traveler is hiring a travel EEG Technologist with 2+ years of experience, including neonatal and pediatric EEG coverage, for a 13-week assignment at an 815-bed acute care hospital in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Clinical Neurophysiology Lab within a large acute care hospital serving as a regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care, as well as the only Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center in western North Carolina
• Provides inpatient and outpatient EEG coverage across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations
• Procedures include LTM, ICU, and EMU continuous EEGs (cEEGs)
• Uses Natus Xltek equipment
• EMR: Cerner PowerChart
• Variable 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Unit hours are Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–9:00 PM and Saturday–Sunday 8:30 AM–9:00 PM
• Rotating weekend and call coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of EEG technologist experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
• Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) credential required
• Neonatal and pediatric EEG experience required
• Inpatient hospital experience required
• Collodion application experience preferred
• 4+ years of inpatient hospital experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Perform neonatal, pediatric, and adult EEGs including LTM, ICU, and EMU cEEGs in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Team consists of 7 staff members
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Dress code: teal tops and black pants
• Strong team player and self-starter qualities are a good fit for this unit
