American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical Neuro Unit position requiring 1 year of acute care experience, with night shifts and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Night shift position, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30), various days of the week
• Medical Surgical Neuro Unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Specialized unit focused on complex neurological conditions including stroke, MS, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, seizures, and other neurological disorders; also serves medical overflow patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, with the potential to flex up based on staffing and unit needs
• Floating required to other acute care units throughout the hospital and potentially to other facilities within the North Region (approximately 15 minutes away)
• Every third weekend required, though this may change based on unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Epic
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute neurological conditions as well as medical overflow patients
• Candidates must be comfortable with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios, as additional support is provided when ratios flex up
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible as local candidates
