Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - ECMO Specialist for a pediatric setting requiring Cardio Help experience and the ability to manage both VA and VV ECMO patients.

Details

• Pediatric specialty hospital setting within an ECMO Specialist unit
• Patients include both cardiac and non-cardiac cases requiring VA ECMO or VV ECMO support
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU based on unit need
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NE or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardio Help (ECMO pump) experience required
• Proficiency managing both VA ECMO and VV ECMO required

Additional Information

• Serves as pump specialist for pediatric patients on ECMO for cardiac and non-cardiac indications
• When no ECMO patients are present, functions as a bedside ICU nurse caring for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients depending on unit census
