American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/PCU position at a hospital in Tennessee, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• 24-bed Stepdown Intermediate Care unit focused on cardiac patients
• Patient population includes pre and post cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias, and other cardiac disorders
• Ages served range from young adults through late adults (18–60+)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1
• Variable staffing team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; the RN assumes full responsibility for their assigned patient team
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state or Compact license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must pass a proctored cardiac rhythm test
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address (no international addresses accepted)
• SSN, DOB, copy of Driver's License, skills checklist, 2 references, and copies of certifications and license verification (Nursys) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to post-cardiac surgery and acute cardiac patients in a step-down intermediate care setting
• Local candidates are accepted but will be offered a reduced pay rate; the radius distance varies by state for this facility's location
