American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Perioperative Care/Pre-Surgery position requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent perioperative RN experience in a high-volume hospital setting.

Details

• 72-bed Perioperative Care Unit in an acute hospital setting serving 70–90 patients daily
• Provides preoperative preparation and Phase 2 recovery/discharge planning for patients undergoing surgery and invasive procedures
• Patient population ranges from ambulatory surgical cases to complex procedures including cardiovascular, orthopedic, spine, and robotic surgeries
• Supports multiple procedural areas including the OR, cath lab, radiology, and endoscopy
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• No call, weekend, or holiday requirements

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
• Minimum 3 years of recent, full-time experience as a Perioperative Care Center RN in a high-volume hospital setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in both preoperative and postoperative phases of care per ASPAN standards
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal onboarding
• Must provide verifiable references from previous perioperative experience
• US Social Security Number required
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Prepares patients for operative and procedural areas and ensures effective discharge planning for outpatients
• Candidates with limited experience or those requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a different pay rate
