American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN First Assist for an 8-week OR contract requiring RNFA certification, CNOR, and dual proficiency in Epic and Cerner.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• Short-term 8-week contract supporting an Epic EMR conversion
• Requires proficiency in both Epic and Cerner; minimum 6 months of Epic experience within the last 12 months required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS required; AHA PALS preferred
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) required
• Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course required
• Current Professional Liability Insurance required
• Minimum 3 years of scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility required
• Annual surgeon review required
• Minimum 3 years of OR specialty experience required
• Must have worked in the OR specialty within the last 3 months
• Proficiency in both Epic (min. 6 months within the last 12 months) and Cerner required
• 2 supervisor references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this contract; candidates with more than 5 days of RTO will not be considered
• Candidates with any prior hit on their nursing license will not be considered
• An OR-specific skills checklist completed within the past year is required
