American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery unit, requiring at least 1 year of acute OR experience and Level 1 trauma background.

Details

• Adult Surgery unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Perioperative circulator role covering operative and other invasive procedures for adult patients
• Patient care is individualized based on health status, age, and surgical procedure being performed

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Level 1 trauma experience (minimum 6 months) required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN standards and professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• CNOR certification preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct and indirect professional nursing care of patients in the operating room
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care within the perioperative environment using the nursing process
• Collaborates effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialized perioperative care
• Previous travelers who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new contract (total tenure limited to 26 weeks, with one extension permitted)
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding requirements must be initiated immediately upon booking
