American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Behavioral Health (Adult) position on a detox unit in Pittsfield, MA, requiring prior travel experience and current MA licensure.

Details

• Position is based on the McGee Unit, an inpatient chemical dependency (detox) unit
• 20-bed unit within a comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse program
• Afternoon shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (8-hour shifts only; 10- and 12-hour shift accommodations will not be considered)
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
• On-call may be required
• EMR: Meditech Expanse (highly preferred)
• 13-week contract in Pittsfield, MA

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration — license will not be pended
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of current Behavioral Health nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience of at least 6 months required
• BSN preferred
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• Must have a personal vehicle
• A supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment is required
• A current (within 1 year) Behavioral Health skills checklist is required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — scheduling requests made after an offer is extended will not be approved, and late requests may result in a rescinded offer
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• The broader program includes two inpatient psychiatry units, a clinical stabilization unit, partial hospital, crisis houses, half-way houses, outpatient clinics, and a crisis team
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
