American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring a TX or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Orthopedics unit in a hospital setting
• 36-bed unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Approximately half of scheduled shifts will fall on weekends
• Floating is required
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidates must reside outside of the following TX counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris (within 50-mile radius of facility are not eligible)
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be automatically approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility
