American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and cardiac, neuro, and general surgery experience, with evening shifts and float responsibilities across state facilities.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• ICU unit with a 1:2–1:3 patient ratio
• Evening shift, 3x12-hour schedules (15:00–03:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between all facilities within the state
• No on-call required
• 48-hour workweeks are available
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; 2–3 years strongly preferred
• Cardiac and neuro ICU experience required
• General surgery and trauma experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers and candidates with 2 years of experience are welcome to apply
• Solid navy blue scrubs required for licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not acceptable
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
• Minimal RTO is expected; excessive time-off requests may impact placement
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront, as post-offer requests may be denied
