American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position covering multiple ICU units on a night shift weekend schedule, with a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience required.

Details

• Float pool position covering four critical care units: Surgical ICU (SICU), Medical ICU (MICU), Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), and Oncology ICU (OICU)
• SICU cares for patients with traumatic injuries, surgical complications, neuro patients, and open-heart surgery patients
• MICU cares for critically ill patients with exacerbated medical comorbidities
• CCU cares for patients requiring additional monitoring following cardiac procedures
• Oncology ICU cares for critically ill oncology patients or those requiring chemo inductions
• All ICU units manage DKA, ETOH withdrawal, and other patients requiring an increased level of care
• Three 18-bed ICUs and one 6-bed Oncology ICU
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Flexible scheduling availability preferred
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool
• Holiday coverage may be required if any holidays fall within the assignment period
• 13-week contract
