American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room position requiring 3+ years of experience and scrubbing skills for open heart cases on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Located in the CVOR unit of a main hospital campus
• Adult cardiovascular surgical patient population including open heart surgery, CABG, and valve procedures (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic)
• Performs scrub role for open CVOR cases; circulator and TAVR experience highly preferred
• TAVR procedures also performed in the main OR
• Familiarity with Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, and laser lead extraction cases expected
• Charts using Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 21:00–07:30
• 32 hours of call required per month
• May float to Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled during a shift
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR RN experience required; travel experience highly preferred
• Scrub experience for open CVOR cases required
• Experience with circulatory support devices (Impella, HeartMate) and procedures (ECMO, laser lead extractions, TAVR) required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration

• Scrubs are provided
• Any schedule or time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to receiving an offer
• Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• First-time travelers will be considered, though travel experience is highly preferred
